Mastering the Lands Between: A Guide to Elden Ring’s Remembrances and Walking Mausoleums

Embark on an epic journey through the Lands Between in Elden Ring, where the Tarnished faces formidable adversaries, including the 15 major bosses scattered across the regions. Defeating these bosses rewards players with Remembrances, akin to the boss souls from the Dark Souls series.

One of the most captivating aspects of Elden Ring is the ability to harness the powers of these bosses. This is achieved by trading their Remembrances with Enia at the Roundtable Hold. Players must choose between two options, which can include weapons, spells, talismans, and Ashes of War. However, with over 20+ Remembrances to collect in the base game and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC combined, players often desire both rewards.

The Walking Mausoleums: A Unique Solution

From Software has introduced a unique solution to this dilemma: the Walking Mausoleums. These magnificent creatures allow players to duplicate Remembrances, but with only seven mausoleums available, players must be strategic in their choices. Selecting the wrong option can lead to a frustrating search for another mausoleum or necessitate starting a New Game+.

Understanding the Mausoleum Differences

Before embarking on a quest to find the Walking Mausoleums, players should understand the distinction between those with bells and those without. Remembrances obtained from defeating Shardbearers, such as Full Moon Rennala and Starscourge Radahn, can only be duplicated at mausoleums with bells hanging beneath their structures. Out of the seven mausoleums, five possess bells and can duplicate any Remembrance in the game. The mausoleums without bells are limited to duplicating Remembrances from non-Shardbearers.

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC also introduced Remembrance Duplication Coffins, providing an additional method for duplication. Three of these coffins can be found in hidden locations:

  • Cathedral of Manus Metyr: Next to a small lake behind the Cathedral where Count Ymir resides.
  • Finger Ruins of Rhia: Near the Finger Ruins of Rhia Site of Grace, follow the path leading upwards to find the coffin near the cliffside.
  • Finger Ruins of Dheo: In north Scaduview beneath the cliff near the Fingerstone Hill Site of Grace.

Locations of the Walking Mausoleums

  • Mausoleum 1 (With Bell): Located in the West Weeping Peninsula. Travel south from Limgrave, cross the Bridge of Sacrifice, and head west to find the Church of Pilgrimage. The mausoleum is south of the church.
  • Mausoleums 2 & 3 (Without Bells): Found in the Mausoleum Compound in East Liurnia of the Lakes. After reaching the Mausoleum Compound Site of Grace, one mausoleum can be found on the lake south of the site, while the second is located on a small hill to the north.

By mastering the mechanics of boss Remembrances and strategically locating Walking Mausoleums, players can enhance their gameplay experience in Elden Ring. Remember, U4GM offers Elden Ring runes for sale, and a 5% discount with the code “vien” to help you on your journey through the Lands Between.
